Privacy Policy

• Account information — your email address, name, and (if you sign in with Google) your avatar.
• Uploaded videos — stored temporarily while we process them. See Retention below.
• Generated clips and edit configurations — the output MP4s we produce for you and the subtitle / overlay settings you save.
• Usage data — job status, progress, error messages, and basic request logs. Used to operate and improve the service.
• Billing data — if and when paid plans are enabled, payment is handled by our processor (Stripe). We do not receive or store your full card number.

We use the data above to:

• Provide the service (analyze your videos, generate clips, deliver them to you).
• Send transactional emails — “your clips are ready” and expiry reminders.
• Operate and improve the product — fix bugs, monitor reliability, tune the AI.
• Enforce our Terms and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your uploaded videos or generated clips to train third-party models.

We rely on a short list of subprocessors to run Clipzy. Your data may be processed by them only as needed to deliver the service:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Google Cloud AI APIs— moment-selection AI. Audio is sent for analysis; Google's API terms disallow using this data to train models.
• Vercel — web hosting.
• Railway — video processing workers.
• Porkbun SMTP — transactional email delivery.
• Hugging Face (optional) — the Whisper transcription model loaded into your browser for client-side captioning. Audio stays on your device.

• Source videos are deleted automatically the moment the worker finishes rendering your clips — typically within minutes.
• Clips (the generated MP4s + thumbnails) are retained for 30 days, then automatically deleted. We email you at 5 days and 1 day out so you can download them.
• Account records are kept while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your profile and associated clip / job rows.
• Logs containing IP addresses and request data are kept for up to 30 days for debugging and abuse prevention.

• Access & export — ask us for a copy of the data associated with your account.
• Deletion — delete individual clips from the dashboard, or email us to delete your entire account.
• Correction — update your name or email from the Settings page.
• Objection / restriction — contact us if you have concerns about how we process your data.

If you're in the EEA or UK, the GDPR gives you the above rights. If you're in California, the CCPA gives you equivalent rights. Email us to exercise any of them.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in (Supabase auth session). We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Clipzy is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. If we make material changes we'll email registered users and update the date at the top of this page.
