Terms of Service

Clipzy takes a long-form video you upload, uses AI to find clip-worthy moments, cuts short-form clips, and lets you review / edit / download them. The service is provided on an “as-is” basis.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure.
• You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) to use the Service.

You keep ownership of everything you upload and everything we generate on your behalf. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, store, and display your content solely to operate the Service for you — nothing more. That license ends when the content is deleted from our systems.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the rights to everything you upload.
• Your content doesn't infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
• Your content doesn't contain anything illegal — CSAM, terrorist content, doxxing, non-consensual intimate imagery, malware, etc.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, harassing, or defamatory.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overwhelm the Service (beyond the published rate limits).
• Share your account with other people or resell access.
• Misrepresent AI-generated clips as unedited originals in a way that misleads viewers.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Flagrant abuse (e.g. CSAM, malware distribution) is reported to the appropriate authorities.

• Paid subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel. Cancel anytime from your Settings — you keep access for the remainder of the paid period.
• We don't offer refunds for partial periods, but we will issue refunds within 7 days of a first subscription if you haven't used the Service.
• Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes.

We aim to keep the Service running smoothly but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may take it down for maintenance, rollouts, or emergencies. Rate limits and quotas are published in the pricing page and the app itself.

Source videos are deleted shortly after processing. Generated clips are retained for 30 days, then automatically deleted. We'll remind you by email before they expire. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

Clipzy uses Google Cloud AI APIs for moment selection and Whisper (via Hugging Face) for optional client-side transcription. Their terms apply to those components in the ways described in our Privacy Policy.

You can close your account anytime by contacting us. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination we delete your account data as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. AI outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate or free of errors. You're responsible for reviewing what you publish.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or $50, whichever is greater).

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via email or prominent notice. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Clipzy is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute not resolved informally goes to the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
